For resorts, hotels and businesses on Curaçao
Kunuku Man Recycle collects from you on fixed days, weighs everything per stream in our warehouse and shows you in the customer portal exactly what your business contributes. With a monthly report that slots straight into your CSR report.
How it works
No ad hoc trips and no uncertainty about what happens to your materials. We take care of the containers, the route, the weighing and the reporting.

Bags, roll containers, big bags or a 10 or 20 m³ container, depending on your volume. We place, swap and maintain them.
On your premises
Our drivers call on fixed days. Need an extra pick-up after a busy weekend? Simply request it in the portal.
On the road
In our warehouse on the Weg naar Westpunt everything is weighed per stream and recorded in your name. Visible in the portal straight away.
In the warehouse
Cans and plastic go pressed to certified processors, glass becomes sand for the island. You follow the journey and receive your impact report every month.
Second lifeEvery container that leaves with your kilos can be followed in the portal all the way to the processor. Glass doesn't need to travel: it becomes sand on the island.
Glass becomes sand
Exporting glass is heavy, costly and a missed opportunity. So we crush it here, in our own warehouse, into sand. Our crushing line processes 1 to 1.5 tonnes of glass per hour into grains of no more than 5 millimetres, removes caps and crown corks with a magnet and screens the result into three fractions. That is how an empty bottle becomes blasting sand, construction sand or decorative sand for the island.
The forklift tips the big bags of glass into the hopper.
Feeds the glass evenly to the crusher.
24 hammers of 3 kilos crush the glass into grains of no more than 5 millimetres.
Removes caps, crown corks and swing-top clips from the stream.
Screens into three fractions and blows out labels and dust.
Fine for sandblasting, medium for construction, coarse for decoration.
Sharp, hard grain that creates less dust than quartz sand. For blasting metal, facades and boats.
Clean, dry and consistent in composition. A local alternative to sand that is currently imported.
Glistening grains in green, amber and clear. For gardens, paths and places where sand may look beautiful too.
The machines

Two rotors in sequence crush the glass in two steps into a fine, adjustable grain. Wear plates made of manganese steel.

Hangs above the discharge belt and pulls caps, crown corks and swing-top clips out of the stream.

Screen deck of 1 by 3 metres that divides the crushed glass into three fractions.

Blows paper and labels out of the glass and captures the dust with 64 pulse filters.

For cans and plastic bottles: presses bales that go straight into the container for the processor overseas.
Capacity and specifications as stated by the manufacturer. Installation in our warehouse on the Weg naar Westpunt.
Subscriptions
Every subscription includes fixed collection days, weighing per stream and access to the customer portal. The difference lies in the frequency, the containers on site and the depth of the reporting. Rates are tailored to your volumes.
Getting started with weekly collection
Weighed and reported
Fixed route and training for your team
Twice a week, all streams
Bespoke for large resorts
Your kilos count. Every month we calculate the market value of the cans, glass and plastic you have handed in. We offset that material credit against your subscription. The better you separate, the lower your net costs. A pilot period is possible, so you can first see what it delivers.
Additional services
Some locations need just a little more. You can add these services in the proposal, or later via the customer portal.
Busy weekend, event or high season? Request an extra pick-up in the portal. Our planners confirm and adjust the route.
A Kunuku Man employee who sorts on your premises and manages the containers. Your own team keeps its hands free.
Beach, access road or grounds around your resort kept clean, with a sign showing who makes it possible. One-off or recurring.
Short on-the-job training plus an instruction document in Dutch, English and Papiamentu. So separation goes well from day one.
A screen with your logo and the latest figures: kilos this month, where your containers are now, what all of Curaçao achieves together. Guests see it at once.

The customer portal
Every partner gets their own environment at portaal.kunukumanrecycle.com. No e-mails with figures, but one place where your team, your management and your CSR lead always see the current status.

Kilos per stream this month, this year and the last twelve months. The market value of your materials and the resulting material credit. And at the top: where your containers are now.

Every container that leaves with your kilos can be followed from the warehouse to the processor. With the current vessel position at sea and photos of every step. The portal converts your contribution into what it delivers: green electricity from plastic, new cans, new bottles and sand from glass for the island.

A screen in the lobby, at reception or in the staff restaurant. Your house style, your figures and the island totals, updated automatically. This makes your commitment visible to the people who need to see it: guests and staff.

Every kilo is weighed and recorded. Your CSR report rests on figures, not estimates.
Your team doesn't need to keep track of anything. We do the weighing, recording and reporting.
Invite colleagues with their own permissions. Reception, housekeeping, management: everyone sees what is relevant.
Customer service in the portal knows your subscription and schedule and helps straight away. If that doesn't work, a member of staff takes over.
Partnerships
Alongside the recycling service for your own location, you can support the programme as a partner. In return you get visibility, figures for your annual report and a story your staff are proud of. Four levels, each with a fixed annual schedule of reports, campaigns and press moments.
A ready-made CSR story with no work on your side: label, content and figures.
Your name at a place where residents recycle every week, with the figures to prove it every month.
You become the name behind one complete recycling stream on Curaçao: the glass route, the cans programme or the plastic stream.
One partner per category. You are not one of the sponsors, you are the company with which recycling on Curaçao was built.
Every product gets its own nameplate, its own line in the reporting and its own photo or press moment on delivery. You can always say: that scale, that drop-off point, that school day is ours.
Your own spot in the streetscape with name and logo, monthly kilos from "your" point, opening event with press.
The most visible result: glass becomes sand. You receive a sample of glass sand and the kilos in your name.
A visit from our team to a school, teaching materials with your logo and photos for your own channels.
A clean road to your premises or resort, with a sign "This road is kept clean by …".
Your logo on every bag that reaches thousands of tourists in their holiday home.
Nameplate "weighed thanks to …" on every scale: you make all the reporting figures possible.
Your name on the machine, commissioning with press and purchase of glass sand possible.
Your name on the machine and on the first export bales, with a link to port and export.
"Powered by …" in the Kunuku Man app and on the dashboard. All KPIs carry your name.
An employee with a name and a face, trained and paid thanks to you. Every quarter a story about his or her development.
The Kunuku Man app
Residents hand in at our drop-off points and get paid per kilo. In the app they see straight away what they have earned, when the nearest point is open and how many tickets they have for the monthly prize draw. Every drop-off counts for the island.
Scan at the drop-off point, paid out at once via Sentoo or saved in the app.
Prize draws and rewards are sponsored by businesses on the island. As a partner, you appear here with your name and offer.
Residents take part in challenges, compare their neighbourhood with the rest and sign up for clean-up events.

Kunuku Man Recycle is a programme of ZZIIN Curaçao and ZZIIN Nederland. Residents get paid per kilo, businesses get a service with proof. Everything we collect is sorted and pressed here, in our own warehouse on the Weg naar Westpunt.
