Residents can hand in cans, glass and plastic bottles at the Kunuku Man drop-off points. To keep everything fair, safe and orderly, the following twelve rules apply.
At the start we accept:
Hand in as empty, clean and sorted as possible.
| Aluminium cans | XCG 1,25 per kilo |
| Plastic bottles | XCG 1,00 per kilo |
| Glass | XCG 0,40 per kilo |
The payment is calculated on the weight registered on the digital scale.
We scan your QR code and pay out straight away via Sentoo.me. Install the app at home beforehand via the App Store or Google Play. It takes two days for your bank to approve the application.
We do not make cash payments. Don't have the Sentoo.me app? Then you receive supermarket vouchers.
We only accept material that is suitable for recycling. Kunuku Man may refuse material if it is contaminated or does not fall within the three material streams.
To keep the queue short, we ask everyone to sort at home: glass separately, plastic bottles separately, cans separately. On site the team helps with checking and weighing.
A trailer or truck full cannot be handled at the drop-off points. Please come to the warehouse:
| Wednesday | Weg naar Westpunt, Papaya 7-5 · 10:30 – 14:00 |
| Friday | Weg naar Westpunt, Papaya 7-5 · 10:30 – 14:00 |
Businesses, restaurants, hotels and resorts cannot unload large quantities at the public counter. For them there are subscriptions with fixed arrangements for collection, containers and reporting. View the subscriptions
Everyone is helped on a first come, first served basis. When it is busy, the team may temporarily manage the flow of visitors.
| Tuesday | Waaigat, Punda car park · 10:00 – 15:00 |
| Thursday | Montaña, Kaminda Jose C. Anthonia, car park by the petrol station · 10:00 – 15:00 |
| Saturday | Grote Berg, next to restaurant Bali · 10:00 – 15:00 |
| Wed and Fri | Warehouse (large quantities) · 10:30 – 14:00 |
Nothing may be left at the drop-off points outside opening hours.
Photos and videos may be taken at the drop-off points and during events for communication about the programme. If you do not want to be recognisable on camera, please tell the team.
Kunuku Man is a programme for the whole community. We ask everyone to treat each other with respect.
The first phase is a pilot. Kunuku Man may adjust its way of working based on crowds, safety, quantity and quality of the material and affordability. Changes will be communicated clearly.
